The McKenzie River White Water Boat Parade was held every April between 1939 and 1970. The parade started as a way for guides and their families to scout the river the weekend before the start of fishing season. As the event became more popular, it attracted University of Oregon college students and people from all over the state. Many participants would float the river in homemade boats of all kinds. In this photo the boaters float by the Rosboro Logging Camp.
